What to Expect
Welcome! To consider Massage or Wellness Services for your pet is to recognise the mind/body connection and its influence in maintaining a healthful balance.

I find it best to work with animals where they are comfortable, in familiar surroundings with little distraction. During the initial conversation, I will request the health history of your pet and observe your animal’s natural gait. We will discuss what we hope to achieve through a Massage or Wellness program, and a plan will be recommended. The duration of a massage session generally lasts 45-60 minutes for dogs and 35-50 minutes for cats, depending on the goals of the plan, the condition and comfort level of the animal that day. Bodywork treatment may include: massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release or stress point therapy, range of motion and stretching exercises, or energy work. Owners are welcome to be present and to observe treatment. Appropriate consultation with your veterinarian will be made, and you will receive documentation of treatment and follow-up recommendation.

Regrettably, Massage and alternative therapies for animals are often a “last hope” resource for treatment. My purpose is to support wellness in animals and educate owners in the benefits of combining alternative modalities with traditional veterinary treatment for natural healing the maintenance of good health.

Animal Massage Therapy is a compliment to regular veterinary care, and not a guarantee of cure. Treat Animal Wellness does not diagnose illness or injury, and will refer clients to veterinary health care partners if illness is suspected.
